I enjoyed this in the end but found it quite slow and the first 200 pages could be done away with!

There were a couple of characters I really enjoyed, Nell and Ferdia. I will miss them!

Really didn't expect to enjoy this as much as I did. I assumed another chick lit to pass the time but I was surprisingly suckered in and the 600+ pages went by quickly. It's nice to see Marian Keyes writing style adapt with the years, having listened to a few of her older books on audiobook over years it was nice to read something fresh and modern yet still set within Ireland. It took me a while to get my head around all the characters but the family tree at the beginning of the book made all the difference. The chapters are short, fast paced and we're working our way up to the modern day, the snippet we read right at the beginning of the book, the long slow reveal is engaging and enjoyable.
