I wanted to review this when I finished all the books to be fair, this wasn't the most amazing story I read nor it was the best mafia romance, it just was book crack for me. I got super into it and couldn't put it down.

I loved Gabriel the most out of all the characters, he was what he was and he didnt pretend to be anything else. Plus his devotion to Mercy

This book felt more action packed and mafia driven than the previous of the series. There was no spice but i was ok with that. Some aspects did seem rushed. But as a whole I love Mercy and Gabriel’s relationship and I was satisfied with how the series ended.

Fallen Empire is the 4th book in K. A. Tucker’s Dirty Empire series.

Gabriel and Caleb are tired of playing games and they are ready to get out of the family business for good. They know killing their father is the only way out, but when they find out he has kidnapped Mercy all of their plans go sideways. Mercy is in the middle of nowhere with a psychopath who is a known hitman. She can hear his other prisoners screaming so she knows her time is limited and she is willing to do anything to get back to Gabriel. This was a thrilling conclusion to the Dirty Empire series!

As a whole series, I really love these books. The over-arching story and character development was great. I love the relationship between Mercy and Gabriel. However, I think four books was too much and did a disservice to the story. I think a trilogy would have been perfect and kept the pacing where it needed to be.

This final book was 3.5 stars for me.
Spoiler I think the story was dragged out, and it moved too slowly. Mercy seemed less like Mercy... especially at the end when she basically gave up her job and future dreams? I didn't love that. I still love this series, but the end was a bit lackluster for me.
