To be honest. I genuinely forgot this book was about vampires until the MC would remind me of it. I’m not sure if it’s because these vampires are different from what I’ve read in the past or because I don’t think it was brought up enough to make me remember. I didn’t feel the need for fear the way the MC expressed. Which is kind of funny being that 90% of this book is the MC in a competition with all vampires and the winner is the only one left alive. But still I kept thinking they were just some kind of fae instead. It wasn’t a bad plot but I wasn’t in love with the story. But of course since the last 15% had a plot twist surprise with a bit of a cliffhanger you can say, I am interested enough to give the next book a try.

I have no words. The ending fucking hit me so hard. I was anxious the whole time reading the last few chapters and held my breath in fear of what might come. AND THOSE PLOT TWISTS MY GOD.
