A great ending to an awesome series. My cousin had strongly recommended this series. I was so glad I listened. This series had it all, lovable characters, heart and tons of humor. I couldn't get enough of it.
This was Jensen and Pippa's story. We had met both of these characters in previous books in the series. Jensen is the brother of Hana and best friend to her husband, Will. Pippa was Ruby's best friend. After a bad break up, Pippa leaves London and joins her best friend, Ruby and her friends on a wine tasting adventure. Jensen and Pippa had a rocky start meeting on the flight from England. Her outgoing personality and crazy sense of style not only wins over Ruby's friends but Jensen.
She was the perfect match for conservative Jensen. She helped to bring out his wild side. But like all good things, the vacation had to end. Will their relationship come to a quick end like their vacation or will it come to grow?
This book was a fitting end to an excellent series.

This was so different than the rest of the series. Definitely less spice but I found their first encounter to be so funny and then meeting again was just so awkward that it made the characters feel more real and believable.
h: Pippa
H: Jensen
Jensen is Hannah’s (Beautiful Player)brother. Pippa is Ruby’s (Beautiful Secret) best friend. Pippa just found her boyfriend cheating on her and is in need of a holiday. On her flight to the states, Pippa sits next to a man and consumes so much alcohol she tells him all about her ex boyfriend and his ‘thrusting bum’.
Jensen comes to Sara and Max’s daughter’s birthday party and who does he happen to see there? The looney woman he was stuck next to on a plane for six hours, Pippa. Jensen is so consumed with his work and boring daily routine, Hannah convinces Jensen to come on a winery road trip with her, Will, Niall, Ruby and Pippa. Since the other people on the trip are couples, Pippa and Jensen automatically get paired off.
Unfortunately, I didn’t connect with or enjoy this story as much as I loved the others in this series. I thought Jensen was a bit bland. I did greatly enjoy the epilogues at the end of all of our favorite couples ❤️
Favorite quotes:
”I woke you,” he said, and then sucked at my neck.”I’m sorry.”
Then he paused. “No. I’m not sorry.” -Jensen pg 175
How could a man so restrained by his own rules not see how much passion he craved? Pippa pg 217
”It was an excruciatingly competitive game of chess we had going,” I said. “Neither of us was willing to give up until it was over.”
Will’s smile was sneaky. “I see, chess? Because it sounded like you were hanging pictures.”
Niall nodded. “Something was definitely getting nailed up there.” Pg 241

I finally finished it! For some reason this one took me days to get through. Once I got through the first half, then it started moving for me. I can say that I love Pippa, she's awesome! Jensen was just okay for me but I thought the epilogue was fantastic. I loved how it wrapped everyone up. Sad that the series is over but what a great series it is!
Really liked these characters, liked that they weren't all repressed or angsty, but there's not a whole lot to hang your hat on here. But I do LIKE Pippa and Jensen, and I like that we get a solid check in with Will and Hanna (swoon, still). I also have to say that this is when Christina Lauren really stop writing these as barely concealed porn (might as well get there by the last book, eh?) - it's deep into the book before we have any, um, relations. Of course I enjoyed the epilogues and getting to see everyone's happily ever after, even if I will never ever care about Chloe and Bennett and their hateful relationship.
Pippa was a bit annoying at times and Jensen was too stoic. I didn't really feel the connection even though I liked them together. Also there was barely Chloe and Bennett and they're my fave.
