Made me both laugh and cry out loud in the best possible way. When I was done reading I hugged the book for a long while.

13 yr old recommended me this book and it was perfect. It found me at the perfect time. It is truly a masterpiece. The amount of times I cried wheeze laughing was more than 5.

My favorite vignettes included the bucket situation, the insistent neighbor child, the neighbor Richard's house saga, the knitting cashier meditation, and the sister and becky's odd friendship.

I’ve always been a fan of Brosh’s work and art style, and this book delivers on both. Just her way of drawing those huge, shiny, bugged out eyes on all of her characters just kills me. It’s amazing how much emotion she can communicate with such a simplistic art style. Wonderful.
This book both entertains and then will suddenly hit such a level of profundity that it’s still affecting me days later. Even though it’s mostly autobiographical vignettes, the themes still tie together in a satisfying way. I’m glad I read it. It has such a real, heartwarming message that doesn’t shy away from the pain and absurdity of life. Another great work from Brosh. I look forward to more.

A wonderful, if sad at times, follow-up to the author's first book, Hyperbole and a Half. I laughed. I cried, sometimes from laughter and sometimes because it was just very sad to read. But Allie is very good at keeping the reader invested and not letting them dwell on the sadness for too long. I loved this so much.
