As fans know and love, Allie Brosh has a distinctive style in her writing and illustrations that is endearing and delightful. "Solutions and Other Problems" is no exception, and here again she covers heavy subjects in her work, in addition to the quirky, fun memories. There is humor and heart throughout. I found it impossible not to love this book. Reading through the essays, you find yourself invested in the people. You laugh along, you feel the sting of loss, and you learn a little about yourself along the way.
More bizarreness, slightly detailed art and humor galore in Brosh’s excellent follow-up to “Hyperbole and a Half”. An eye catching cake with a colorful frosting that packs a zing. A- (91%/Excellent)
2.5 stars. I absolutely loved Hyperbole and a Half, and was so excited for Brosh's newest. This one just doesn't have the same level of emotional connection or humor that the first book did. I found myself doing a ton of skimming. I was not connected to the stories, and I was not drawn into them through emotional connections either.
Somehow manages to be both exquisitely funny, and one of the saddest things I've ever read. A wrenching, absurd look at what it's like to be a lonely outsider who is struggling to keep going.
There's a whole community of people who care deeply about Allie Brosh. Her writing makes us feel like we know her, even though we don't.
But I do hope she is okay.

Allie Brosh does it again
This book is amazing. Perfectly timed for 2020 and is a wonderful look at the existential crisis. Read it, then read it again

Lots of giggles with this one. Pretty funny stories with a unique point of view and humorous way of describing life. The illustrations add to the humour. That is paired with the depths of pain, loss as well as mental and physical health struggles of the author
This was trademark Allie. Hysterical, dark, sad, hopeful, very random. I laughed out loud many times! I'm glad she decided to share more of her brain and her art with us.
I'M SO HAPPY!!! FINALLY NEW ALLIE BROSH!! Hope she's been doing well. September can't come soon enough!

This book had me crying laughter and crying sadness back to back. I don't read many graphic novels, but if they are anything like this certainly won't be my last.
This graphic novel is an autobiography of Allie's challenges and experiences throughout life. The different forms of graphics used make this story a hoot.
Overall, an absolutely wonderful book. I can almost promise you you'll go through this in one sitting because you don't want to put it down. Who needs TV when you've got Allie?
