This book was great. However, I don't know if it's where I'm at in life or what, but I didn't find it as good as her first book. There were long stretches of boring, unrelatable sections. But more of it than not was laugh-out-loud funny, or very touching. I appreciated the more serious bits, too.

Is it weird that I feel lucky to live in a world where Allie Brosh has returned?

Thank you for this book, Allie.

I've been reading one comic every day or two from Allie Brosh's Solutions and Other Problems and it's been the perfect pandemic therapy. Her stories are hilarious, touching and delightfully weird. One story on meditation made me laugh so hard I scared my cats. It's been a while since I have laughed that hard at anything.

I thought the balance was just perfect, prompting some deeper thoughts and feelings but always giving you weird and funny facts and moments to pull you back. When the world is upside-down sometimes the only thing you can do is laugh.

I hard lined it through this book in a day. Allie Brosh is an incredibly talented story teller and her books never fail to have me in stitches. Her candid style discussing serious topics had be crying from laughter and from just being moved.

Solutions and other Problems is the book we all needed to end 2020, and ring in 2021 full of hope and renewed energy to make the best out of the worst situations. Allie reminds us that it's okay to retreat into oneself; yo ponder what we are missing and what we enjoy in order to grow and mature into stronger, weirder versions of ourselves. The passages and stories reminded me how hard it was to learn about life's eventualities, like death and loneliness, and how adaptable we truly are as a species when faced with them. The drawings are on point, a gift that keeps on giving because they truly portray the emotions behind the words. Humor isn't about perfection- it's about being able to laugh at ourselves and continuing to dream of a better outcome. Highly recommended for teenagers (it's a good example of what to expect from life) and those wanting to inadvertently meditate on the meaning of everything.

I laughed my ass off the entire time. I needed this book and this collection of ridiculous stories while grieving the loss of my little brother. I am so grateful for this book.

Between writing her first book and this, her second, Brosch's sister died by suicide, her marriage ended, her parents' marriage ended, and she underwent treatment for endometriosis. While this book is filled with Brosch's unique brand of primitive humour, she also explores themes of grief and loss meaning(lessness), and healing. I found the story abt her sister's death uniquely touching and well done. I've been grateful for the author's work over the years and pray all the best for her and her family.

4.5 stars.
