The two characters are so dumb in the best of ways. Their relationship made me giggle like a lovestruck girlie.

A very fun read! They are utter idiots but they are so loveable I forgive them everything they do. I have no idea how they survived this book, but good for them.
The story itself was very predictable but it really didn’t bother me. In a way, it was relaxing. There was a tendency to slip in moments that would fill me with tension because in stories these things usually meant problems but this book immediately resolved it. These quick relief moments were new and fun.
The romance was quite average. Not a lot of major feelings about it, but it did make me happy and I did root for them.

A fade to black slow burn with vampires, mental illness, and a romance so sweet it'll make your fangs ache.
Vincent is down on his luck and his money, it isn't easy for a vampire to find work in a world that doesn't even view them as human, and discrimination runs even more rampant then the vampire hunters prowling around. Desperate for blood and unable to afford blood bags, he is forced to sneak into people's homes and drink from them as they sleep. Only he breaks his rule of going back, and begins returning over and over to a delectable human.
Wesley needs to find proof that a pharmaceutical company killed his Mother, but the only way to get a job there is to "turn in a vampire" for testing and experimentation. When he realizes he has been visited regularly by a vampire at night, he hatches a plan. Vampires are are terrible anyways, right?
I think this is one of the first paranormal romances I've read that doesn't have graphic spicy scenes in it, and yet I still felt the sexual tension and chemistry between characters which goes to show how great the writing and overall relationship was.  I also really liked the conversations surrounding mental health, and grief.
I do feel like I felt some of the book just waiting for plot to happen, I would have preferred if the pacing was a bit faster in some parts. A lot of the action is saved for the end of the book, which made it difficult to stay engaged at times.
Overall a very sweet read, I would read the next book in the series and recommend to anyone looking for a spice free queer vampire romance.
