This was hard to rate because I was really bored with Big Mac's story in the first half, but the Candace/Shining Armor story is one of the most entertaining comics I've seen, full of adorable nods to '80s references that I really appreciated. Shining Armor and his buddies are AMAZING and I'd love to see more of them.

Loved this volume - 5🌟! The Cadence/Shining Armor story is adorable. Also enjoyed the references to Grease and other films in this volume.

Likes the second story better but still really cute. Loved all the extra little jokes throughout.

These were SO MUCH FUN! The first two stories are about Big Mac wandering around on a classic misadventure story. The second is "Neigh Anything", a flashback about Princess Cadance and Shining Armor during high school. Lots of fun references for older fans and just good stories for all ages. These comics capture the show perfectly on paper!

What’s not to love? It’s always a pleasure no matter when or how often I re-read it.

I love these so much! The story was divided into two main stories. One focusing on Big Mac and the other on both Princess Cadence and Shining Armor. The art in these issues are amazing and very underrated. Love all the faces and the little things that are in the background.

The first part was the story of Big Mac going to the hardware store and buying a nail. While on the way he runs into every sort of problem. I love this one because its a slice of life story. Its fun to see Big Mac run into any imaginable issue with the townspeople and their Summer Wrapup Celebration. Princess Luna makes a big appearance in this issue. I love every part with her. She is blissfully ignorant on some things and that just makes me love her more. I also loved how all the town ponies fell in love with Big Mac. It made me smile from beginning to end.

The second half focused on how Shining Armor and Princess Cadence met in high school and feel in love (in a time period similar to our 80's. I liked seeing all the young versions of the ponies in their 80's fashion. This actually made me like both characters more. I was indifferent with them before but I liked the backstories and the extra look in their past.

Love these volume stories. They make great reads!

The amount of detail that goes into this comics is amazing. If you look closely you not only find an adventure of the mane six in the first story but you also learn in the second story how Vinyl Scratch got her cutie mark and that is just the greatest thing.
I always love when the producers focus on the other ponies in Ponyville and when we learn more about our beloved characters like Cherilee or Dr Hooves.

The first story with Big Mac was solid. You could really imagine the crowded market and him searching for nails^^ everything that could go wrong, went wrong but it was a great day for him after all.

The second story was great too although it was at times too much of a 90s cliche for me. Of course Cadance lives Shining Armor and of course everything went right for Buck Düring the Polo game but it was great to learn more about Cadance and Shining Armor. They’re great secondary characters and with their child in the tv series now, things are about to get very interesting
