It was pretty cool to read the source story for the beloved film. The film represents well the tale told in this classic book by Baum. I did miss the original illustrations, which are missing from this edition.

I've always loved various versions of the Wizard of Oz, but never actually read the book. I finally got around to doing so for and am so glad that I did. Despite being very morbid for a children's story, it's really cute and sends a great message about having intelligence, a heart, and courage. Such a great classic.
