Strange, out-dated, and oddly morbid, but the stories have a charm to them.

I needed to read the first one of all. The one who started it all. For being from 1939 it wasn't bad at all. I'm still surprised by the detail from the characters. Still, it was a little weird for me the 'different stories' in one shot.
Still, nothing to get worried about. I really enjoyed it. Now I am curious in how people from this time enjoyed this without knowing what it was coming...
