The ideas in this series are very creative, but the writing is mediocre. The series is in desperate need of editing. The author has a tendency to "tell" rather than "show". In addition, there is an overabundance of detail, portions of which are unnecessary. For example, the author seems to have an odd fixation with conveying the information of how/when/where character are (or are not) able to use the bathroom. In sum, the ideas and creativity make the series worth reading, despite the issues with the prose.

I love this book almost as much as I love the previous book! I love how it made my heart race with excitement and how it made me laugh out loud at some points (so much so that it took a while for me to read the passage because I was laughing so much!)
So much happens in this book, I always forget that the last book ended with that kiss - I love the new side we see of Aeson in this book and his devotion to Gwen. I love the alliances and friendships formed, and how we get answers to questions from the previous books but a whole load of new questions (that I hope will be answered in the next book!).
I don’t want this series to be over, but I can’t wait to read the next book and see how everything pans out and concludes!

Its the hunger games in space! No, really! It almost turned me off but it's done in a really great way that gives us some fun new characters to love.

Again, could use an editor, but the story really moves inspite of the length. I finally started liking the main hero-girl in the story.

WIN was an excellent science fiction piece that readers around my age and up are sure to enjoy. There were times when we got too much stress on what a klutz Gwen was, which was kind of annoying, but overall it was a great read. Be sure to read the other books before this one, or you won't understand anything!

absolutely fantastic
i am so sad I have to wait in the 4th book to finally see this romance that has played out across 3 books come to fruition without everything else in the way.

I enjoy romance novels but the unrealistic speed at which this relationship came into being and the overly-flowery language used to describe their interactions is too irritating to sift through to get to the more interesting content (which is the political intrigue, to me).
