I guess I was expecting too much from this book. I mean the first two books were fantastic so here I was assuming that this book would be too. How wrong I was.

The characters that had been previously established in the other books (ie Gwen and Aeson) do a complete flip in the way they are now portrayed and how these two characters interact. The way they come off is how you would imagine a couple of pre-teens would behave in a relationship, not two young-adults. Oh and the abuse that Gwen doles out to Aeson. Really? You find that acceptable?

Parts of the story that didn't need it, were long drawn out explanations that were frankly boring and yet things that could have been interesting are skipped over. I got the impression that the author got bored with writing about half way through the book and just decided to fast forward everything.

Many new questions were raised without any answers, and they way it just stops at the end. That's not a cliffhanger. Its almost like when the book was published they forgot to add in the last few pages or something. The story just stops in mid-sentence.

Overall I was incredibly disappointed considering how great the first two books were. I honestly dont think I will bother waiting around for the fourth book, especially if waiting another two years for a poorly written book is all that we get in the end.
