Aspen is a recent college graduate and aspiring photographer. This summer she plans to travel around Europe while her boyfriend works on a mega yacht owned by Theo. Aspen, at Theo's request, winds up staying in the yacht "working" as a photographer. As Aspen starts to see a different side of her boyfriend, everything changes.

Aspen is a very quiet introvert who lacks confidence in herself. She is most comfortable behind a camera. She allows her boyfriend to take center stage and prefers to be in the background. When her boyfriend starts to show his true colours, she doesn't stand up for herself. She lets him walk all over her and he completely gaslights her. Really, she should have broken up with him long before. She seems to lack self-respect.

Theo gets what he wants. Always. He has his sight set on Aspen and makes it pretty clear that he is into her. He helps her to come into her own and grow. With his guidence, she becomes more confident and assertive. He treats her exactly how she deserves to be treated, with respect and care.

I really liked these two together. Was the story far fetched? Yes, but it was a fun summer read.

Tropes: instalove, millionaire

This is a sexy summer romance that is great for fans of yachting and Below Deck. I will say this book is not as strong as other books I’ve read by Kandi Steiner like the Red Zone Rivals series. I was left wanting more out of the book. Aspen and Theo have a connection that pulls them together but I wanted a little more emotional depth to it, it seemed very surface level. This book also toes the line with cheating so that may be a turn off for some readers. Despite this I did enjoy reading this book, it had me wishing I was on the deck of a book with a drink in hand.
