My 6th birthday part was themed after this book. Each girl invited brought her favorite doll. My mom made beautiful 1st place ribbons for each the dolls with fancy lace and ribbon. I still have my ribbon.

Lovely message to this one. Only drawback is the "doll contest" itself, which would obviously drive kids crazy in real life.

This book was perfect for my 5 year old. She was so eager for the pages to turn. Antique shopping is now on her to do list to hunt for old dolls. ♡

This was another favorite book during my childhood. I think it's a theme every doll lover can relate to and will cherish.

I *still* think about the moral of this story as an adult, and can remember the amazing illustrations. Highly recommended for girls and boys of all ages everywhere.
