It was a solid story, and frankly I absolutely loved Alex Ross's artwork. It had a classic feel to it without being really campy. I'm not sure I would have enjoyed it as much if he hadn't been at the visual helm.

This as a fan who likes superheroes makes them to grieve partly because of the idiot new age superhero who have no charisma and the fact that the badass's are retired and when they come back that's when the party starts and if the superheroes were a reality then this comic is an absolute marvel(no pun intended). However the critics may feel how awesome this book i don't feel like that and probably it is not meant for me to like,i want batman and superman to be worshiped and not neglected. However the story goes,no matter how great it is for some of us it just does not make a cut.

Dibujo soberbio. Guión brutalmente errático. No da nada de lo que promete en términos de historia. Pero Alex Ross consigue que te olvides de Mark Waid.

I’ve read it again after many years, and this is still my all time favorite DC Universe story.

An excellent series that imagines a compelling future for the big three. The art is amazing, of course. I also really enjoyed the use of Shazam in this story.

We touch on this and more in a special interview with Elliot S! Maggin on the All the Books Show: https://soundcloud.com/allthebooks/episode-189-shazam-spotlight-with-elliot-s-maggin

Kingdom Come is a series that is only hurt by sequels. While there was some cool elements to this, I think they should have left well enough alone.

I'm recommending this as much for the art as the story. Alex Ross draws the icons of the DC Universe like no one else.
