This is a perfect comic. It feels oddly resonant in the modern day with how tense the world has been. And yet this gives me hope. It feels like a book made to show that no matter how dark the world may seem, and it does at this moment feel dark, society needs hope to live on or else we'll all be doomed. I love this book.

DID NOT FINISH: 50%

Takes itself very seriously in a morbid way. Feels like it's all done in the defense of the status quo. Not enough real resistance against fascism is shown. Feels like they're headed down a route of, "What if by resisting fascism, we become no better than them?" or something like that, which I find repulsive, but I could be completely wrong about as I am not finishing the book. It's just not holding my interest the way it should. I want to read a more hopeful Superman.

Very quaint, not really a fan of Alex Ross' designs, but the storytelling is clearly the highlight. We always seem to have a desire to turn Wonder woman into a dictator for some reason, but since this was made in '96, ill give it a pass.
