Demons and angels have been showing up as recommended book for me and I could not be happier to read them! It is a classic trope and this book was very entertaining.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Keepers of the Light is a series that is part of 'The Keeper Chronicles'. Which I didn't know was a thing till I started reading this one and realized it was related to the previous book, Gates of Demons, that I just also read. I am moving onto Vampire Unleashed, which IS also part of the Keepers-Verse it seems, so I am EXCITED to get started on that one ASAP!

Now Hidden Angel, is awesome... Gabbi is starting college at Mercy Academy, she worked her butt OFF to get accepted on a scholarship. Her mom, being a single mom, worked hard to love and raise her, now this was Gabbi's way of paying her back. Colt, a new teacher at the academy, is different. How different I will let you find out, but an attraction between the two is like fire.

Throw in some baddies and tears in between worlds, and we have a starting to a series that I can NOT wait to read more of. Along with all of the other Keepers Verse series.

I received an ARC of this book for a honest review.

If you love stories about wars between angels and demons you will enjoy this book. There is a good plot, good action, and a little bit of romance sprinkled in. What more is there want.

My only issue was some of the grammar used in the book. There were a few times that I had to reread sentences to make sure I read it correctly.

When Gabby arrives at Mercy Academy she just wants to be normal and blend in. But before she even sets foot on school grounds she has an altercation with Colt, one of the teachers. Then strange things start to happen. Gabby has blackouts where she doesn't know where she's been or what she's been doing. At the same time gruesome murders are taking place nearby. When she's suddenly attacked Gabby has to face the fact that she's not normal at all; she's an angel. And the school is a battleground for angels and demons...

This book takes place before the Keepers of the Grail series and we get the backstory for Gabby and Colt. Since I've read the two books released from that series it makes this even more interesting. I was a little surprised by Gabby's reluctance to accept that she's an angel, since she seems very sure of herself in the Keepers of the Grail series. At first I thought she knew her background, and that she just didn't want to acknowledge her angel side, but that wasn't the case.

If this had been my first book in this universe I would have been a bit more sceptical of Colt, at least to begin with. Now that I have access to more information, pluss the fact that we get both Gabby's and Colt's POV's, I only feel intrigued. I also find their ignorance of each others background to be quite charming. Little do they know that they're supposed to be sworn enemies...

There are some minor details that disturb me, but nothing big enough to affect my overall impression. The remaining feeling is how hard it was to put down! Although, I'm happy to know the book has gone through some more editing since I received my ARC, because there were quite a few errors in there.

If you enjoy the battle between angels and demons, classic good versus evil, with a slightly complicated slow burn romance, then this is a book for you!
