I’m usually not a fan or second chance romances but this one was not as annoying or infuriating as others I’ve read in the past.
It was a quick read and drove right into the issues right away.

I went into this book not expecting it to be my favourite but boy was I wrong, the love story in the book is truly touching.
We have seen in the previous books that Alessandra is being neglected in her marriage and hold a lot of sadness, so going in I expected this would be a book full of the feels. And I wasn’t wrong but what I wasn’t expecting was to fall in love with Dominic as he fought to win Alessandra back after she divorces him.
Whilst he isn’t willing to let her go, he also listens to her and gives her the space she needs to figure out who she is after loosing herself whilst in her marriage. Once Dominic pulls his head out of his butt and realises how poorly he has been towards her he will go to no end to win her back, whilst also supporting her in her new ventures and becoming her own person.
There is a twist as always with nefarious things happening to banking CEO’s but this just adds to the significance of Dominic’s decisions.

Omg…just…wow. I think I had a steady stream of tears going down my face through the majority of this book. Alessandra is so strong and I was cheering for her and her new found independence / self worth through the entirety of the book. Dom is the definition of “ if he wanted to he would “. Ale laid down the law of what she won’t ever accept again and Dom accepted his failures and vowed to get his wife back. I loved this story so much. It wasn’t as heavy on the spice, but the spice was SPICEN when it was present. This was about second chance love and a true story of self reflection ( good and bad ). I finished this in 8 hrs. LOVED.
