A taut exploration of mental illness veined with a dark surrealism that knocks Kafka on his arse. This is my first foray into S.P. Miskowski's work and I'll definitely be coming back for more. Her character work in particular, and her ability to capture the voice of her troubled and insular protagonist is nothing short of masterful. Definitely worth several re-reads.

This is yet another beautiful chapbook produced by the awesome Dim Shores, and the cover and interior artwork by Nick Gucker are beautiful and intimate.
