I liked this book even though at times it took me a little extra determination to get through it. I feel like it gives a really interesting view into the Black Panther party and the different oppresions that were being fought at that time, racism and sexism being the main two that are talked about. Elaine Brown presents a detailed view into her life and through it helps you to understand the dynamics behind the Panther party.

One of the most personal and human look at the Black Panther Party from a Black woman perspective.

I can't wait for Elaine Brown's biopic! This book provides a whole new level of insight into the Black Panther Party and solidified the need for more conversations about Black women in Black liberation.
