What a fun and spunky cast of characters. Great group of women who don’t feel that society pays much attention to them, uplifting each other, and becoming great friends, while solving murders.

The mystery was well written, most clues I found out as the characters did though I did guess some on my own. The over all plot formed well throughout  the story and even though I figured out part of the mystery the murderer was a surprise.

The characters were cute and enjoyable, and I was glad I didn't guess the final whodunit. However, I guessed literally every other twist without even trying, often eons before they were revealed.

It was also a bit annoying that the characters took ages to realize simple things. I often felt like I was 3 steps ahead. And there were enough completely unrealistic things that happened for the sake of plot, that would never happen in real life, that I was disappointed. I can only suspend disbelief so much.

Those critiques aside, it was still enjoyable overall. I love The Thursday Murder Club gang, which is what drew me to this book. It's not as good as those books in my opinion, but it's perfect if you're in the mood for something similarly cozy.
