This one was set up for an incredibly interesting story. Badass female serial killer out to get revenge? ✔️ Crazy cult vibes? ✔️ Amazing sexual chemistry? ✔️
Unfortunately, after about 20% it just lost me. Once the two of them got together, the plot just went right out the window. Which is too bad because it could have been SO interesting. The cult plot line just felt like an afterthought throughout the rest of the book.
I did like the ending tho. Eli embraces the darkness and gives Bria a special "gift".
Tropes: professor/student, female serial killer, cults, revenge
Graphic: Child abuse, Kidnapping, Murder, Sexual content, Emotional abuse, Gaslighting, Death, Abandonment, Gun violence, Injury/Injury detail, and Toxic relationship
