I was looking for something to measure up to the [b:Mindf*ck Series|33285942|Mindf*ck Series (Mindf*ck, #1-5)|S.T. Abby|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1547484845l/33285942._SY75_.jpg|54013122] and this seemed very similar. And it is in some ways.

Bria is more of a sociopath than Lana ever was, and though you can argue that Bria too was a product of her upbringing, it's implied that this was her nature either way. Eli on the other hand is not that explored as a character, I needed more from him.

I did like the book overall and would recommend it to those who liked the Mindfuck series. It doesn't quite reach the same levels, but it's pretty good.

There is nothing I love more than amazing spice that doesn't overshadow an even better plot and story. The story and character development came first and the spice was the cherry on the top...with lots of whipped cream!

I love a strong female lead and Bria did not disappoint. My heart ached for her and broke with her then burst with happiness for her. I love an equally strong male character who supports and lifts up his woman without try to save and suffocate her. Kudos to Dr Kaplan for being that man!

This was so good! I love a dark, serial killer romance.
Bria was an absolute badass, but she struggled with emotion and empathy which you obviously expect from a psychopath serial killer, then she meets Dr.Kaplan and starts to struggle and can’t understand what she’s feeling for him. Now Eli Kaplan, holy fuck this man is kinky! Meaning the spice scenes were hot. I loved his struggle with the darker side of him, I do wish we could of seen more of that than just his kink. My only criticism of this story was because it’s stand-alone it felt a little rushed the storyline was definitely a backseat to their romance but it could of been spectacular if it took more of a lead with the romance being an addition to the plot instead.
