I liked it, but it wasn't my favorite. I will definitely read the sequel though. :) Review to come.

Clarity had me from the first Chapter, I mean how intense was that! And then by the second chapter, well Clare had me captivated. I absolutely loved her character. And I must admit, any novel that references the Peach Pit is on my automatic favorites list.

I think I expected this novel to revolve more around Clare's ability, but it was an excellent mix of mystery, paranormal, and romance. I have no complaints what-so-ever, well only that I want more!

This is easily one of my favorites debuts so far. Harrington does an excellent job drawing the reader in and never letting them go. And it wasn't just the constant question of 'who done it' that kept me turning the pages, it was Clare too. I wanted to know more about her and her family, she was a very likable protagonist and she really made this story. I read the entire novel in practically one setting, it was very simple to get sucked into the story and lose your surroundings.

The ending, while it ties up things nicely, still leaves us with the impression that there is a lot more to Clare's story and I can't wait to find out what it is.

Clarity is an impressive debut, it was everything I expected it to be and more. Add this one to your reading piles.... and move it to the top!

Wow! I'm speechless. Clarity was so much more than I expected and I'm still going over everything in my head. This is definitely a new favorite of mine.

Clarity "Clare" Fern knows she comes from a long line of freaks. She also knows that her freakish power entertains tourists. That's all she's ever really used it for. When a young tourist is murdered Clare finally finds another use for her talent. By helping the police find the killer she can not only prove the power of psychics but also get close to new boy in town, Gabriel. Oh and maybe try to stop hating her ex, Justin.

Clarity is amazing! I loved every aspect of this book. I don't even know where to start. I loved the characters and the writing but it was definitely the story itself that kept me reading. I loved the suspense! Clarity is a YA suspense done right!

Clare was awesome. She was strong, brave, smart, funny, and loyal. The perfect heroine, pretty much. This is the kind of girl teens need as a role model, not Bella Swan. Clare took control and I loved that about her but I also loved her vulnerable side. It was nice to see more than one part of her.

Overall, just go out and buy Clarity. Kim Harrington is one debut author I will be checking out in the future. I can't wait for the sequel to Clarity and whatever else she has planned!

Ms Harrington did the impossible. She made me like a cheating dog. I don't care whether or not you were too drunk, loser. THERE'S JUST NO EXCUSE and NO FORGIVENESS.

Anyway. Aside from that, this book was hard to put down. I liked Clary's character very much; she's spunky, independent and not shy even though she was an outcast. I liked everything about her...well, except when she forgave the cheating dog. But hey, when you've got feelings for someone, and take note, I didn't say love someone--those things just comes easy, yeah? The author also made it so that practically everyone was a suspect. I didn't have a concrete guess until there was only about ten pages left.

All in all, highly recommendable!

After being drowned in textbooks studying my heart away this was a needed relief. Clarity was a beautifully written mystery novel that propelled me to put off my science test. I literally couldn't put this one down. All the characters were layered with realistic details and scary secrets. The writing was beautifully done, and made all the characters blend with realistic relationships. Although I was at first concerned that the powers they had would ruin the mystery they didn't. The mystery was beautifully crafted to fit in perfectly with all the powers and spin the story with a fast paced plot with a crazy ending. Overall the writing was beautiful, the relationships realistic, and the mystery suspenseful. There was never a dull moment in the life of Clarity Fern which is why I advise anyone to read this book while I eagerly await for Perception to hit the stores in March 2012!

This is like, the best book I've read since... Uhh.. The Girl in the Steel Corset!!

Clarity was such a yummy story, I literally just ATE IT UP.

Course, I also have a thing for murder mysteries, not to mention the two very hot boys that are fighting for Clare.... And the excellent cliffhanger at the end. (Okay, it wasn't that much of a cliffhanger, but it was enough to toss me over the edge.)

There is no doubt I will continue reading this series!

"My family. I'm a psychic. My brother's a medium. My mother's a telepath. Tourists love us. Townies scorn us."

This was a fun little mystery.

I loved the idea of three family members with different talents working together. Clare - or Clarity - can touch something and (sometimes) get a reading. Her mom can sense your thoughts. And her brother, he can talk to ghosts - if they choose to talk to him or are around. The three of them together form a "reading" that you can pay to receive.

But then murders start happening in their town. Murders, to start, of a young tourist.

I found Clare fun to read. I liked Perry as well as an unlikely sidekick. Nate was a good best friend
Spoiler but does he have feelings for Clare...hmmmm
. I also liked Justin
Spoiler although I think he's starting to feel creepy
. Gabriel....
Spoiler I'm not 100% sold him on yet

together, this cast of characters, the fun paranormal and an interesting murder mystery pulled together into a perfect story for me. I loved it.

I kept avoiding this book but I finally read it. And I loved it!!!!
I mean the romance, mystery, and romance... perfect! I mean there was a background to it as well. I mean family love and facing her fears. Perfect book.
Even the love triangle is different. The exotic Gabriel and her ex Justin who cheated on her. I understand how she couldn't forgive him. The whole reality made me love this book even more.
This is now one of my favorite books ever. And I absolutely can't wait for the next one. March 2012? Seriously?
Awesome debut novel!

This book was a nice spin on the typical mystery and the typical paranormal, blending the two into a simple, yet compelling story. The characters were well-drawn and believable and I'm left intrigued about what other trouble Clarity will find in book two!
