Such a cute story. I can't say I really liked Sami for a majority of the book. I just didn't buy her as a rock star. She was confident about herself, though, which I loved. Josh was wonderful, he calls first and I always love that. Their ending was too cute and made me tear up. Looking forward to Ruby setting up the other roommates!

I really enjoyed this story and I loved the ending. I look forward to reading more books in this series.

Content: mild swear words, passionate kissing, innuendo

Here’s what I liked:
- fake dating
- forced proximity
- fun friends
- some super sweet gestures and moments of good banter

I thought the second half of the book dragged a bit and some of the drama felt a bit manufactured. Both Josh and Sami were hard to take at times (Josh was a bit entitled and clueless and Sami was judgmental and selfish) but overall a fun read.

Evening chats with a single man on neighboring balconies? Sign me up!

I will admit when I first opened this book, I wasn't sure about it. I'm glad I continued reading! If you like a tightknit group of girlfriends, a fake relationship, a secret identity, AND grand gestures, you should pick up Betting on the Boy Next Door.

More bookish love ...
- class with sass
- Mr. Moves
- Tater, Bean, and Queso
- overcoming the past
- adorable grandparents
- cuddle puddle
and I want to hear more of these characters' stories!

FYI - very light swears, past use of alcohol & drug,

Reviewed from an eArc. Thank you, Melanie!

I really liked this one! The punk rock thing was unbelievable but still fun in its function. I liked the romance in it, very clean and cute.

This was such a fun read. The right mix of predictable and surprising twists with all the cheese at the end one might hope for!

AND NO SPICE.

Sami works as a nurse but has a secret that she keeps hidden from everyone, even her best friends. She’s the singer in a rock band. Ruby one of her roommates and best friends is on a mission to find Sami love. They even make a bet. And just her luck a hot, single bachelor just moved in next door.

This has everything you want in a sweet romantic comedy. There’s chemistry and some sizzling kisses, good banter, an amazing friend group and a lot of character growth. Even a dash of fake dating. What’s not to love.

Josh comes from an affluent family with a family owned law firm. Sami has dated guys like that before and safe to say it didn’t work out well. That causes some drama, Sami is thorn. Josh seems nice and all but what if he’s just like her ex? This is an interesting dilemma and I appreciate how its depicted and shown thru the dual pov.

The cover is absolutely amazing, so cute. The pace is really good, how the dialogue flows and the story develops. I don’t want to spoil anything so I’ll leave it at that.

I highly recommend all the romance readers check this one out
