C.W.’s style is striking and challenging. He’s brutally clear about how bitter and weird it is to cling onto faith while suffering, and about how the truth of God’s being (even his goodness) is still inescapable even when we want to escape it. I love the way he makes us see the world. Not a quick or easy read, though—he asks a lot of his readers.
