A collection of women who would be perfect role models for any girl or woman. I enjoyed the story like history of each woman. The illustrations are an added bonus.

An awesome quick overview of some of the real life "Hardcore Lady Types" we see mentioned in Lumberjanes. True to the series, the profiles of women in this book aren't one dimensional or biased but show the true diversity of successful women of today and yesterday through their troubles and triumphs. A great quick nonfiction read that I would suggest for anyone.
Perfect for kids who enjoy the 'Who Was' series or those who are fans of the Lumberjanes graphic novels and/or chapter books.

That was a really fun little companion book. If you've read any of Lumberjanes, you know they often exclaim the names of notable women throughout history when something shocking happens, and this little book was just quick life story snippets about some of those famous women (think Ada Lovelace, Jane Goodall, etc.). Fast read, and very interesting!
