I really enjoyed the premise of the book but I couldn’t get past the writing style of the author. It felt very disjointed. Also, the story was quite short and as a result, it didn’t feel like the characters were fully developed.

I didn't think the gimmick for this book really worked well, but I am not the target demographic when it comes to the age group. I found it all very heavy handed and cliche. I think it would have worked better as a linear story, rather than the flipping back and forth, and the "ghost" aspect wasn't working for me. Gave up about halfway through.

Everyone should read this.

AWESOME read about today's troubles. Sadly, this story has to be told, but Jewell Parker Rhodes did a great job! I'm going to request it be added to my high school's library.

Never underestimate a children's book.

There is a richness to this book. It goes straight to your heart. Quite frankly, it will probably stay right there, in a piece of my heart for the rest of my life. These are the voices I need to be listening to. Also, I love the deep friendships and familial ties that are written into this book. Thank you for this.
