I’m going 3.5 rounded up to 4. I wasn’t totally sold on the writing style but the way it was broken up helped. I said 2024 was going to be my year of more stories about unhinged women, but reading this and Bunny back to back may have been a bit too much

A despicable and desperate protagonist surrounded by horrible and sad people, doing terrible and embarrassing things. Also, somehow, incredibly relatable.

Bonus points for great observations and discussions on race, class, gender, and performative social media personas. Some of the chapter titles gave me a good laugh as well.

Found it hard to feel engaged as the narrator is so unreliable and somewhat insufferable but couldn't put it down. Maybe would of been better as a series of mini essays?
