Am I a basic bitch who read this because of Jack Edwards?? Yes, but you should too.

This book was Weird. Super weird. I thoroughly enjoyed this, super unique concept and writing style. The discussions about societies views on race/gender were super interesting and important. I also found it super interesting reading from the POV of someone so toxic (towards her bf) I saw someone describe this novel as claustrophobic and that really is how it felt. Super cool book.

Honestly, I liked the way Patel wrote about political/social points. But, omg was the main character, the man, and the other woman annoying af. At points I just wanted the narrator to shut up.

settled in the middle cause I hate the mc but also I get what the author was going for, and also I have been like the mc, but also I feel like the author didn’t commit enough to the satirical bit. where was the progression? this could’ve used a stronger plot to anchor it.
