This was an interesting, yet challenging read. It was my first of the "Marriage of Convenience" trope.
While I couldn't wait to devour more of the relationship between Ares and Raven, I was really struggling with Hannah constantly getting in the way & her manipulative ways. It was frustrating watching Raven getting pushed around by her family, and every bit of happiness constantly being taken away whenever she got it.

But in spite of the negatives, I gave the 4 stars for the way Ares loved Raven and fought for her in spite of the conflicting relationship they had, and of course, for the extremely *spicy* scenes (of which there were A LOT to consume!).

The rating is where it is because of the one main problematic thing i notice there could be more. There is a medical consent issue for me. A doctor doing procedure without consent from a patient is wrong, it was done off page but that bothered me. These characters were ridiculously rich. The one family need money because the other family helped out but yet they have two actresses in the family and highest paid model. I Also felt these character do not understand just because you worked hard it does not mean nepotism did not have a big role in playing how you got where you are. Over all i did enjoy the love story of these two, I liked Raven for the most part, there were issues of her lusting after sister man but she was kinda her first so there is that. It was over the top the way money was tossed around was weird. I feel like Aires thought he a god(the name fit then) and would fired people because he was going on power trip. oddly i liked this book alot , I enjoyed seeing these friends fall in love and making a life together. I really like how they communicated with each other it was beautiful how they expressed how they were feeling and how to work it out. without the medical consent issues i would rated this higher.
