I read about half of the issues in this collection when they were coming out monthly and I must say, binge-reading this series is a far superior experience. All I remembered from much of this arc was vague confusion and lots of "wait... how does that person fit in again?" Also, when you're reading monthly, an issue that doesn't touch on a particular character or plot thread feels maddeningly disappointing, but in a binge read - who cares?
All that to say, while this is perhaps not as perfect as the first major plot arc, it's pretty damn close.
The second collection (out of what I believe will eventually be 6?) of Saga remains romantic, thrilling, and contemplative. Even though I am very disappointed in certain characters (I'm looking at you, The Will), the fact that this series has given me so many characters that I care about and am invested in is remarkable. On to Book Three!
and then on to waiting a very long time for more... :/
