Mary Blayney's Poppy's Coin is the first in the Poppy's Coin (my title for this series) series. Very enjoyable.

Ruth Ryan Langan's Passenger was GOOD. Josh crashes with an unexpected passenger prior to the start of a wilderness trek intended to jumpstart a series. Turns out the pass. Was Grace’s mother’s ghost truing to do right by her long-lost daughter.

Mary Kay McComas's Mellow Lemon Yellow was excellent! Talks of the reality of childhood friends and how they are really our own subconscious

J. D. Robb's Haunted in Death (26 in the In Dead series). Eve investigates the death of the grandson of the man who, it turns out, murdered his singer/lover 85 years ago.

Not your typical Eve Dallas book. Four short paranormal stories all in one book. It was refreshing to read familiar characters, then the opportunity to experience new authors I've never read before.

I thoroughly enjoyed all stories and could even relate to some. Mysterious music, a magical coin, time travel, and imaginary friends.

All stories are around 100 pages so more than your typical short story but easy to finish one in a day.

Ruth Ryan Langan - OK story

I didn't read the last story . . .

Romance disguised as paranormal. Mary Kay McCombs was best of the bunch.

Read the JD Robb before. Guess there really isn't anything of hers I haven't read. Phooey. Really liked Poppy's Coin by Mary Blayney and The Passenger by Ruth Ryan Langan. Mellow Lemon Yellow by Mary Kay McComas was great until the end. Overall a good set of stories, but the title doesn't work at all. None of these stories are "Bump in the Night" types, not even Robb's.

I got this one because it was next in the In Death series. Robb's story was typical Eve, though abbreviated. There was nothing much special about this one. It was fine, but not outstanding. I went on to attempt the next story, Poppy's Coin. It was BORING. Since I only wanted to read Robb's story anyway, I'm stopping instead of wasting my time with the rest.

Around book 22 the series started getting better. Obviously, since I've stuck in there, it didn't get too bad, but it definitely started getting better. This is a good short. Murderer posing as a vampire, and the suspicion of Eve's friends and colleagues are what keeps her alive in the end.

I really liked all of the books in this anthology, but none of them were scary; just paranormal. I chose this book because I've been reading the entire J.D. Robb series in order, and this was the next book in the list. However, I will now be looking up books by the other three authors! I love when that happens. I love anthologies! :)

I only read the "in Death" story. They are always good.
