The second volume of this series has continued to be rlly interesting. I read thru it so fast that it felt so short!!!!
I really really do adore the characters so much. They are all lovable in their own ways and there's literally no bad character, but in this case this is one of those stories where there doesn't need to be a bad character or "villain." It's just so refreshing that everyone is so great and have their own special qualities. I already liked Akkun before, but in this volume he is even more likable. He was friendly to Aoki before but here he rlly shows up to show Aoki that he cares for him and that he wants to be a proper friend to him. Their friendship is so strong and Akkun is genuinely a great guy. I also love how Hashimoto has also continued to stay a close friend of Aoki. Who says a girl and guy can't be friends? Their bond is unbreakable. I loved how Hashimoto cared so much about him to stand up for him and defend him. I also liked how there was more of a development between Aida & Hashimoto in this book. Ida continues to be a dear. He's so kind to Aoki & he's very obviously falling for our beloved MC.
This part of the series continued to show the complexities of being in love with somebody, but now for different reasons. I really love how the author is portraying having a crush on somebody. And I can tell that Aoki's current crush is def a lot more serious than his last. It feels more genuine for real, and I like how the author has communicated that. In addition, the heart racing moments, the complex mixed emotions, the failure to get rid of the emotions you feel for someone once u like them, the struggle of liking someone so much without them even realizing... the love here just feels so realistic. Having a crush and being in that stage is exciting, but also difficult and frustrating.
Lastly, the humor in this book with the funny moments and dramatic accompanying artwork is just so lovable just like in the first book...excited to continue reading
