This graphic novel is wonderful. I was laughing and crying. Stargazing is a great middle grade friendship story.

Unexpectedly charming. The plot took turns and made me feel things when I had settled down for an easy book about making friends. Ending was not strong tho..

I really liked this graphic novel. It was short, quaint, and I think it did a great job showing the small things that make friendships blossom. The only reason I'm not giving it five cows is I felt the ending could've been just a bit better. It wasn't bad, but it didn't quite hold up to the rest of the book. I'd definitely read something else by Jen Wang, though, because the story was absolutely adorable.

Four and a calf cows!

I received an ARC of this by the publisher.
This is my favorite Jen Wang novel yet! I thought these characters were so complex and relatable. It put me in my feelings. Loved this.

This book focuses on the balance of expressing yourself & staying "in line" with parental expectations. I think this novel is important for people, especially children who are having trouble finding themselves when it seems everything they do to make themselves happy (painting nails, listening to music instead of doing homework & dancing) seems to be a "bad choice".

A beautiful graphic novel about being cool, being a friend, and being yourself. The art is really nice, the story is solid, and I wish I could follow them into adulthood. I think the girls would be friends for life. Highly recommend!

Really good! I’m so glad I was able to get it for my classroom. It’s seemed a little weird at parts but it gets explained by the end. My students love graphic novels so I appreciate that this one will teach them about another culture and kindness
