Jumped from one scene to the next without any clear direction until the end. I like where the book ended up, and I thought the message was good! But It was a bit difficult to get in to because it felt so choppy.

Jen Wang does it again - just when you think you know where a story is going, she hits you right in the heart! This was the most beautiful story with a stunning art style - and in this world in which we live, I think we should all be more like Moon!

Very charming and sweet book. :D

A very cute story about making friends, having confidence, and not judging others. I read this to be able to recommend more graphic novels to the younger years, and I think this would be perfect for it.

A cute book about friendship. I liked the easter eggs for people who grew up in the San Gabriel Valley.

Stargazing was beautiful and touching and heart-wrenching all at once. I've been on such a graphic novel binge, thanks to my local libraries, and I'm so glad that I chose Stargazing as my first read of 2021. I can only describe this book with the highest of praise - it is simply gorgeous. This is the heartfelt story of Christine and Moon's friendship, and their journey coming to terms with the differences they face within their Chinese-American community, handling childhood pressures and the relationships we build with those around us (and the power we have to impact others). The illustrations and colouring are also absolutely stunning! I can't wait to read more from Wang, because Stargazing was an absolute winner for me.
