A cute story, beautifully illustrated and coloured, if a tad predictable. Would be great for kids dealing with serious illness or any kind of mental illness.
This book is such a sweet and honest look at friendship. The story is tender and the drawings are wonderful. A v fun read.
This was full of the pure innocence only children have. It was utterly wonderful and the epitome of adorable. The story warmed my heart in so many ways and I have no doubt, whoever you are, wherever you were born, no matter your race, ethnicity, gender etc. there is a part of you that will be able to relate to a part of this story. The artwork was absolutely gorgeous and perfectly lifted the innocence of the characters and this story. I just want to put a copy of this into the library of every school around the world and the hands of every child and adult alike. This is the kind of story that will make you smile from ear to ear and cause your heart to swell and ache in unison.
I have been given an arc of this title from Net Galley in exchange for an honest review.
Moon has recently moved in next door to Christine and the two become fast friends. Moon is a child who has visions of celestial creatures far away, and longs to be with them among the stars. Christine didn't realize though how different Moon's life was and this leads to Jealousy and puts a strain on their friendship.

I will now be putting Jen Wang on my “Keep-an-eye-out-on” GN illustrators and writers: she made such an emotional topic digestible, with well-crafted illustrations AND a good ending??
Jen Wang's storytelling is some of the best I've read. That paired with her beautiful and sensitive illustrations makes this story so wonderful!

For a book named Stargazing there was not a lot of it, maybe three pages at most. Personally, I wasn’t as attracted to the illustrations and art style and I found the plot to be a bit rushed and jumbled at times. I think the storyline could’ve been a bit more fleshed out as it felt like we barely knew the importance of the characters before they were catastrophe stricken. I would’ve loved to have gotten to know the characters better and overall felt since we hadn’t gotten to know them too personally, that the catastrophe was a little sudden, misplaced and lack lustre. It didn’t have as much of an impact as I lacked the connection to the characters, with little depth of their personalities and decreased bonding to the characters. I rated this graphic novel 3.5/5 stars. ⭐️🌙
