It's just beautiful! I love the drawings, the colors the characters and overall I love a good book about friendship, family and finding yourself

Stargazing was a super cute story about Christine and Moon, and their friendship. I really enjoyed this graphic novel; the story was very well told, had some great morals and lessons to be learnt, and the illustrations were, as always with Jen Wang, adorable.

This was such a lovely tearjerker of a book, written by the author of Prince And The Dressmaker! Christine’s strict but loving Christian parents rent out an apartment unit in their backyard to a single mom and her daughter Moon, which they view as an act of charity because the Lin’s are struggling with money. Quiet, good kid Christine becomes friends with Moon, who’s more than a little wild and they work on a kpop dance for the school talent show together. The story feels like a very quintessential middle school tale, and the adorable art style makes it shine. I started crying at the part where Christine’s dad takes her to get icecream after a rough day. The book allows it to be complicated- Her dad is strict and has a stern talk with her after he finds out that Moon and her painted their nails, but he’s still learning and finding ways to be a loving and supportive dad thats really heartwarming. (Yes, I have feelings okay, sue me.)

Cute comic with a great moral of accepting those who are different than you.
