A beautiful book about getting old and accepting death. A quick read with lovely characters and just enough mystery to keep you on the edge of your seat.

this is the second book i read by iain reid, after i’ve been thinking of ending things, which was one of the books that got me back into reading, so i’ll always be indebted to him for that.
this book definitely has that similar, disorienting feeling, the same sensation of not being able to trust your own mind. it’s great.
i personally enjoy when a book leaves you with questions (well, it depends on what type of book it is i guess) and i enjoy the questions i’ve been left with here.
i will definitely be seeking out more of reid’s works in the future.

A mysterious slow burn that keeps you wondering what’s real and what’s not. Spooky and unnerving, I loved the writing/reading of this book. I was left wanting answers, which I know is the point, but I personally think this type of genre isn’t ‘enough’ for me, I crave more explanation to the madness.
