Read this in a day...very compelling, although I felt the transcripts of Jim in therapy didn't add to the story and seemed out-of-place. Those sections slowed my enthusiasm. Otherwise, great suspense.

UPDATE 4/3/22: Completely forgot I’d read this, and just listened to the audiobook! Loved it this time around; the therapy sessions still seemed a little odd, but didn’t feel as disjointed overall this time. I’d give it a 5 now.

I liked this book well enough to want to know "whodunit" but that's about all.
I did not like the format of switching back and forth between Jim and Rachel every other chapter which made it feel really choppy to me. When the blog and emails were added in, it got even worse.
There were also a couple instances where a character did something that didn't ring true for me. It was jarring enough that I came out of their world and thought to myself something along the lines of "oh come on."
While all the details were wrapped up, in some way it felt rushed to me. Whammo, it's this person, then the epilogue.
Put all this together and this was just an "all right" read for me.

It was okay. I ended up skipping parts just to get to the resolution. I didn’t really care about the characters.

A reminder to all parents to enjoy all the little moments with their children. I am already a protective mom… I will now be just a little bit more AND I’ll be reminding myself to enjoy each moment.

This book was really good - it took a little bit for me to get into, but it ended up being a really quick read and extremely suspenseful. Great choice.

Don't read this book if you have had a lost child or runaway. You will get PTSD.

Could not put it down. One day. So captivating.

This book was ok. But I didn't find it gripping or suspenseful. I wasn't compelled to keep reading to find out what happened.

I kept reading hoping to find those moments that turned the book into a thriller but never did. It just fizzles along like seltzer. Nothing too memorable.

If you are going to have the premise of two unreliable narrators, then make at least one unreliable!
