Told from 2 POVs, this is the story of Jasmine, a Chinese nanny who works for Rebecca, a wealthy NYer. Jasmine fled to America to try to find her daughter who was taken from her at birth. While there were a lot of good twists and really great thoughts on women's roles, I did find myself skimming the pages alot.

I wish it would've only been told in Jasmine's POV, for Rebecca's brought nothing to the table. She was infuriating to follow, and nothing seemed to happen in her chapters—at least nothing remotely interesting as what happened in Jasmine's chapters. It distracted the story quite a lot.

And this was supposed to be a thriller? Where??
