Muy bueno.
Me dejó con infinitas ganas de leer los demás libros.

To be honest, the first few chapters took me like a week to get through as they were quite boring, but other than that, it was really entertaining moving forward. I really like the imagery and writing style C.S. Lewis uses, but although I understand that this is only the surface of what he is trying to imply with the story, the actual plot points confused me at times. Overall, I'd recommend it for both adults and children, as it was a nice and easy read, if you push through the slow beginning.
It's 2020, it's quarantine and I am not in the mood to read serious books. I wanted fantasy, easy to read children's fantasy. The first thing that came to mind was Narnia. Time to go home, another home, a home I had visited before when I was a child, when I first discovered Lord of the rings and so I found out about C.S. Lewis, a dear friend of Tolkien and I got The Chronicles of Narnia.
This is not the first time I am reading the chronicles and although I must admit I find the writing to be childish and very plain, I still enjoyed myself very much.
The first good is about the creation of Narnia, about how Aslan sang about land and beasts and from darkness the magical world came to be. There is not much to say about this story as I feel no words can do it justice. I feel like, in this time of isolation we need juvenile adventures with children about lands we can enter via wardrobes, a lamp post that grows from the earth like a tree and a witch too vain about her power and beauty to see beyond her own stupidity. We turn to such stories to forget about the horrors of reality and I feel that The Chronicles of Narnia are a prime example of books that are able to do just that: they pull you through the wardrobe and into the dense world of fantasy Lewis imaged.
