I really didn't enjoy the use of
a rape attempt
as a situation to have the love interest save the MC.

2.5

2.5/5 stars. I really wanted to love this but the writing style had a very ~fanfiction~ vibe (I mean describing Diego as "dangerous" the first time he walks into class???really???) I also think this book was way too long and characters sometimes went off on whole monologues UNPROMPTED talking about their entire life story and I am just sitting there like??? I don't care??? Idk maybe I would have liked this better if the alien plotline was scrapped altogether and more focus was given to Henry's life and his grief because JESUS this book was a mess.
