Ash is somehow one of the sweetest, smartest, most sensitive mmcs I’ve ever read while somehow managing to be the most outrageous fucking idiot at the same time. Every decision he makes is atrocious. This book really frustrated me because of his horrible decision making skills. Unfortunately I also had to knock off a star because it triggered my childhood trauma lmao, and not for the scene you’re thinking. But that’s hardly the author’s fault. Overall it was okay, but it really pissed me off

“He was broken when he lost you. While everyone else was grieving for Hugo, Ash was grieving for you.”

Well I devoured this in a just over a day, Paige Toon knows how to write romance (which is almost completely spice free bar a few bits).

Three days to fall in love. Six years to try to forget. After part 1 I knew we were going to get more Ash, but I did not think they would meet again in the way they did, this whole romance revolves around their love for eachother and gave such “right person, wrong time”. I loved the complexity between the relationship, their families and how even though they were worlds apart, they still belonged together.

Paige Toon is becoming an auto buy author for me, such light, fun and easy romances.
