A unique memoir-in-essays exploring Indigeneity, two-spirit identities, family, both chosen and not, classism, racism, violence within queer communities, and punk. Radical writing that forces western readers out of their colonial mindsets, written for Indigenous, queer and two-spirit people.
Also a great example of how people can make mistakes and take accountability for them. Older editions of this book included appropriated use of AAVE, but my version had been edited after the author discussed this with Black communities in Toronto and Montreal.
