Everyone is so distracted by the scandalizing nature of the romance that they forget to mention how well this is written!!

The book was okay, but not one that will stick with me. I don't feel it had any strong message, or was particularly fun to read.

If you’re a horny agoraphobe who is uncomfortably active on r/taboocaptions, then this book is for you. If your takeaway from reading anything published by Freud wasn’t to create the next generation of Hapsburgs, then these books probably aren’t for you.

I was recommended this book by a friend, who claimed the incestuous relationship in this book was designed to make the reader the uncomfortable. So I went into it with that in mind, but as much as I tried, I couldn’t get over the way their relationship was portrayed. Maybe this is more of a personal preference than genuine criticism.
