The comparison to Monty Python is apt. The comparison to Terry Pratchett, less so. There are fewer witticisms and subtle puns, and more innuendo and overt entendres. "Morning Wood" was beaten to death for a chapter early on; then its rotting corpse was dragged through the rest of story for regular prodding with a stiff stick. Why? Because penis, that's why.

The humor was 100% genital jokes, and the story and characters weren't interesting or original enough. They probably should have eased off on the dick jokes and published this as YA fiction. Let the reader wonder if the authors know that "Morning Wood" and "knockers" have other meanings.

Audiobook narrator Luke Daniels more than does this book justice. I had a few minor complaints, but overall, he's much better than the story. 4.75 stars for Daniels.

So maybe it was just me, or maybe it was because I listened to the Audiobook version, but I liked this story. Yes it was very punny, but I still enjoyed it. Unfortunately, my library only has the first book in this series so I guess the fun was over before it really got started.

DNF. Just couldn't get into it. Super funny jokes though.

I have to say that this book has firmly forced its way onto the top of my "favorite books" list.

I was kept laughing throughout the entire novel, no more than a page went by between my bouts of laughter.

I feel like this whole book was just Delilah and Kevin's way of complaining about the English language and making dirty jokes disguised as a fantasy novel. Which isn't a complaint, it was simply fantastic.

This was a fairly enjoyable read, very in-your-face humor which, even thought I'm usually more of a deadpan humor person, I found myself laughing out loud at times.

Like a Monty Python game of D&D.
