Easy read. Amusing. Ready to read the next one in the series.

I was about to give this up after fifty pages because of too much "church chat", when the meaning behind the title is revealed. Ivy decides that she is "invisible" because no one ever notices old ladies and that it makes her the perfect one to investigate a murder. She therefore does what all amateur detectives in these cozy-mystery books do - fearlessly investigates the crime much to the consternation of the real detectives, disturbs crime scenes, blabs things to other people, and endangers her life.

Why do I read them? Because they are fun!

This book, however, has far too much proselytizing. You just want to say "Give it a rest!"

Very funny - a very smart Little Old Lady. Even though there's a strong Christian theme in here, it's part of our heroine's natural personality, it's not shoved on us as lectures by the author, so it wasn't as annoying as I find many books with overtly Christian characters.

Cute and funny. There should be more brave little old ladies like this in my (and everyone's) life.

This is a light Christian mystery starring Ivy Malone, just your average LOL (Little Old Lady). Ivy is a widow who doesn't much feel like doing things that LOLs are supposed to do. Then her best friend Thea passes away, and she vows to follow up on vandelism that has been going on at a local cemetary. Thea's aunt and uncle were buried there. The police don't seem to be doing much, so she decides to do some investigating of her own. Since LOLs (especially her) seem to be invisible, she dismisses the potential dangers. Then, another mystery. Thea's tenant, Kendra, goes missing and turns up dead. Ivy gets involved in this too. As both mysteries unravel, Ivy gets in deeper and deeper. The storylines are a bit predictable, but the writing is good and it's refreshing to read a totally clean novel.

Cute book. Christian "messages: run a bit strong through it - for my taste - but a really really cute mystery.

While at times it seemed like there was a lot of filler to this story, it was still really good. I loved the character Maggie. She is a spunky old lady that just will not give up even when her life is in extreme danger. I was so mad at the ending of this story because there was no closure BUT there are 3 more books to this series!!! I am off to buy the next one!

I enjoyed this mystery much more than I had expected to, being a freebie, and I intend to continue the series. Ivy is the sort of LOL I plan to be one day.

I'm a big fan of mysteries in general (cozy or otherwise) but I found myself not completely enamored of this book. I thought it dragged on a bit longer than necessary, introduced some characters that really didn't need to be there (although it may come out in the later books) and even as far as cozies go a lot of the situations seemed really implausible. It wasn't without the charm mind you and it wasn't horrible but, it's not the best thing I've read and I'm not inspired to rush out and get the rest in the series.
