This was SO cute. Loved that we got to go back and take a second look at a happy couple a little ways down the line. The perfect length. Definitely hope she writes more of these.

Sweets and sweetness!
Delaney and Hugh Ellingham are from the first Nocturne Falls book The Vampire’s Mail Order Bride. I loved their story. This chance to take a look into where their romance and relationship is at and is going is wonderful. We see them the other books, but it is nice to see them front and center again.
Delaney is such a nice vampire. She likes to take care of everyone. It’s lovely the way that Hugh adores her, is so protective and wants to make sure that he takes care of her.

I can’t tell you much about the book without telling you what the surprise is but if you read the first book, you will most definitely want to read this book. I really hope Kristen Painter follows through with this in the next book in the series. I am really looking forward to it.

My rating is 5 stars. I find this short story is incredible. What a wonderful Valentine’s surprise. I highly recommend this series.

Nice little shorter story about the first couple in the series. I like when there's a follow-up and would wish there was even more of the other characters in the books. But I get that they are meant to be also stand-alone books. Still, I'm enjoying this series.

Cute but obvious what the surprise is. Continuation of Delaney, not a new romance like some of the shorts. Nice to see all the characters of Nocturne
Spoiler We never figure out why the mother was in her booth, which was a little questioning. I thought the daughter (Molly?) should have said something about her mother trying to give her eggs.
There was no answer there and the romance is lacking. Cute story still.

Series: Nocturne Falls #5.5
Rating: 4 stars - It was really good

Delaney Ellingham is determined to win the Nocturne Falls Valentine’s Day Bake-Off, but an old rival is trying to create havoc for her. Her husband and friends come to her aid but they get a bigger surprise in the end.

This was a fun and cute holiday novella. It was nice to check back in with Hugh and Delaney. Delaney is determined to win the bake-off and has been obsessing over it for weeks. Both Hugh and Stanhill are sugared out and can’t wait for the event to be over. I loved revisiting this original couple and the surprise that is in store for them.

Overall, this was a cute, fluffy novella that is filled with love. I really love these slice-of-life novellas and hope we get more in the future.
